GOVERNMENT LAND ACQUISITIONS

Council Acquisitions and Easements

Description of project: Axiom Spatial assists the Sutherland Shire Council with their cadastral projects as well as various easement and land acquisition projects throughout the shire. One project of note is the acquisition of land within the Royal National Park. The land consisted of long-established playing fields that were never officially 'owned' by the Council. The project included dealing with National Parks property group and Sutherland Shire Council planners, redefining railway boundaries with the assistance of Transport for NSW.

CONSTRUCTION - HIGH RISE

Blaq Projects - Hyde Apartments Wollongong

Description of project: Hyde Apartments is a 12-storey residential development located in the heart of Wollongong, NSW. The project delivers a landmark residential tower with basement car parking, landscaped communal areas, and supporting infrastructure.
Axiom Spatial has been engaged as the project surveyors for the construction phase of the development, providing high-accuracy set-out, monitoring, and verification services to support the builder and ensure successful project delivery.

TOPOGRAPHICAL SURVEY

East Nowra Sub Arterial Road

Description of project: The East Nowra Sub-Arterial Road project is a major infrastructure upgrade designed to improve connectivity, traffic flow, and safety in the East Nowra region. Axiom Spatial was engaged by Transport NSW to deliver a detail and underground utilities survey in accordance with TfNSW G73 specifications, providing the essential data for project design and planning. Our works included the establishment of survey control, detailed topographic survey of the project corridor, and underground utilities survey in compliance with AS5488 standards. Deliverables included CAD and GIS datasets, G73-compliant survey models, and service location plans for use by design consultants. In addition, Axiom Spatial ensured the preservation of survey infrastructure in accordance with the Surveyor-General's Directions (SGD 12). This involved identifying and protecting survey marks within the project footprint, reporting on their condition, and reinstating marks where necessary to maintain cadastral integrity for future projects and ongoing spatial referencing.

RAILWAY SURVEYING

Blue Mountains Route Clearance

Description of project: Major works project on an upgrade to the Blue Mountains rail line, to allow new intercity trains to travel to Lithgow. Axiom Spatial has been brought on as a sub-consultant to provide survey support during track and signalling, platform and tunnel modification work. Axiom Spatial’s role is to include survey monitoring of tunnels, GNSS survey, support in laser scanning and clearance/kinematic envelope checks.

END TO END PROJECT SURVEYING

Bringelly Road Business Hub

Description of project: Axiom Spatial was engaged by ESR/CIP to undertake survey setout of bulk earth and civil works for the proposed Bringelly Road Business Hub. In addition to this Axiom Spatial provided critical volume and conformance data for design and site engineers throughout the project.

ROAD SURVEYING

Access Intersection Upgrade

Description of project: Axiom Spatial was engaged by Brefni to provide survey support for construction to upgrade the new entrance at Flower Power Milperra. Axiom Spatial's role included establishing site control, survey support in excavation, setout works, milling and conformance of drainage and hardstand surfaces. Axiom Spatial also provided critical ongoing support for volume and conformance data for design, reporting and assisting site engineers throughout the project.

LASER SCANNING

'The Revy' Luxury Residences in Sydney, NSW

Description of project: This Sydney landmark has been converted to become the city’s most distinctive address, with eight storeys comprising of 46 residences, including the stately penthouses. Our client needed an as-built survey of the finished rendered surface of the elevator shaft and stairwell structures. The structure was shrouded in scaffolding and safety mesh therefore making traditional survey methods not suitable. The versatility of Laser Scanning is evident in the resultant highly accurate data provided to our client.
